I have tried two cartridges with the same result. They will not turn after insertion. It's as if a release isn't being triggered.
When I called "support", they went through a script, even though I told her what I had tried. She said to remove the orange clip. There wasn't clip and she wouldn't believe me.
The first one was ordered from Amazon. Thinking I had a bad cartridge, I returned it and bought a dual reload directly from HP. It looks exactly like the first, no orange clip and also doesn't turn.
If an HP rep replies to this, DO NOT USE A SCRIPT! I can follow the simple instructions. As I have tried two cartridges, all indications are it is the printer.
So, focus on that and get a real technician, not a script reader.
Any failure to contact me by an HP rep will result in my never purchasing another HP printer and I WILL let as many people know how the quality has plunged in the last 30 years.
