Hi. I have owned an HP Envy 6055 All in One Printer for over one and one half years. From time to time, I had to re-connect my printer to the WiFi because it would not print. I was always able to connect the printer to the WiFi. However, yesterday I had to set it up again for WiFi and this time I couldn't connect at all. My HP App states that it is connecting to the network, but 20 minutes goes by and it still does not connect. I have tried several times.
I asked someone about this and he said that my connection is on 5 GHz and that I need to contact my Internet Service Provider and ask them to separate my 2.4 GHz from the 5 GHz bandwidth because my printer needs the 2.4 GHz connection.
Could this be correct? I have not changed my router or Internet Service Provider, and I was able to connect the printer to the WiFi before. If this is correct, is there a way I can make the change myself instead of contacting my ISP?
Thank you.
