Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp111dx

Both hinges on my notebook are failing.  This notebook has seen very light use.  And in that light use, I never use the "tablet" mode - meaning - the hinges have been treated gently, yet BOTH hinges are failing.

 

From looking around the internet, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, meaning, this is a manufacturing DEFECT or, an extremely poor design.

 

Please advise how best to solve this issue.
