HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 (54J84AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Envy 360 2-in-1 (15-ey0797nr) laptop with Windows 11 that I bought a little less than a year ago. Sometimes when I open the laptop the keyboard and touchpad don't work. The touchscreen will continue working so that I can control my system, but the entire keyboard does not respond to anything. I have found that the only solution is to restart the computer, and it does fix the problem every time.  The issue has been happening the entire time I've owned the product, but it has gotten significantly worse lately in that this issue is happening multiple times each day, almost every time I open my laptop.

Another similar issue I occasionally have is that when I open the laptop the screen is stuck in portrait mode and I cannot switch it back to landscape view. I have tried going into the settings and manually switching it back, but everything is greyed out. Again, the only solution I have found is to restart the computer and it has solved the issue every time.

I searched the HP support forum and found a very similar problem: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Envy-x360-Keyboard-and-Touc.... However, the solution points to drivers that are much older than my computer (and for a slightly different model), so I’m worried they would be the incorrect drivers for my computer. Also, I didn’t understand why the solution mentions uninstalling the keyboard driver at the end, after replacing the touchpad driver, without installing a new keyboard driver.

I could deal with the issue before and just restart my laptop, but it is happening too frequently that I need to find a solution. It's extremely disappointing that I am having these issues with such a new machine.
