Have an HP Office Jet Pro 8715. Am in the middle of a large print job and the printer told me to replace the black or restart the job in color. Have the second of two black 952XL F6U19A cartridges that came in the same package, and installed it.
The printer NOW says that this cartridge is for an older printer and it will not take it / work with it. It is identical to the cartridge it is replacing. They came from the SAME double-pack. What the HECK!
I then look online for a resolution and all of the "fixes" are secret on this site so I was forced to create a user account just to try and find out what the work around is. THIS IS STUPID! How the HECK do I get this printer to accept the valid cartridge?!?
