Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra
hp utility will no longer communicate with my Office Jet Pro 6978. Previously, hp utility worked fine. I suspect the problem is due to a recent printer firmware upgrade. I have two Mac computers and have the same issue with hp utility on both computers. Computers and printers are all on wifi. MacOS is Sierra on one computer and Ventura on the other. Also, I have another hp printer (Envy 5000 series) using the same wifi and same computers and hp utility connects to this printer without any problem. As I said earlier, I think this problem was caused by an hp firmware upgrade to the 6978 and hp should fix this bug ASAP.
