Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 (54J84AV)

Good morning!  
May daughter purchased an HP Envy 360 laptop for college and after 18 months the left hinge has broken rendering the laptop useless.  After doing some research it appears that this is a known problem with these hinges.  Is HP offering a repair solution at no cost given the frequency of this occurring in light of the class action lawsuit that has been filed?
