I found this post but no working solution - I tried everything suggested and nothing allows me to open the door and change the print cartridge and I am not prepared to force open the door - this is the post from someone else and is exactly the same problem:  I have a HP ENVY 6000 [BC0294]. The access door won't open to allow me to change the ink cartridge. I'm half way through an important document and every support solution I've found so far has not addressed the issue of the door not opening.

 

I have turned the printer off, waited 60 seconds, turned it back on and the door still refused to open. I cannot update the firmware because the pin is inside the printer with the ink cartridges below the door I can't open. 

 

The door opens a couple of centimetres and then feels stuck. I haven't wanted to force it further and risk breaking the stupid thing.
