Product: NPIE8007A

Trying to set up a HP Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw to scan to email.  I've done this before, dozens of times, but this machine isn't taking it.  Here's the setup:

 

SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com

SMTP Port: 587

TLS Enable: checked.

Authentication: Always

UserID: Tried one specifically for the device, and my own Office 365 ID

Password: typed it in, and copy and pasted it in.

 

IP is private (192.168.5.50)

Gateway is fine, Subnet is fine, DNS is Google public 8.8.8.8

IPV6 is off.

Wifi is off.

 

I have used the account on the device to sign into Office.com sucsessfully.  

 

I have turned off multi-factor authentication

 

What am I missing? there's no firewall issue I can see. 

 

 I have a HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw with the exact same settings, and it works
