I have bought two new sets of cartridges for my office jet pro 8600. The first set I got the ink system failure message. I put the old cartridges in I did not get that message. So I assumed the cartridges were defective.
I returned them to the store and got a new set with a different expiration date on them.
Now the 2 colors originally needing to be replaced show “empty” even though they are full and now error message states they “appear to be damaged“.
I have turned it off turned it back on, unplugged it, unplugged it with a combination of turning it off and turning it back on, I have turned it off, unplugged it and pressed power button for 15 seconds. I have cleaned off the contacts with 91% alcohol and replaced the cartridges. Any more suggestions?
