Hello,
There seems to be a major issue with the BIOS version F.30 on HP Omen Laptops. The BIOS screen has stopped displaying, and when I press ESC key to load the BIOS page, it is showing completely blank. Nothing is displaying on the BIOS pages.
This issue has been confirmed on the Reddit post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/HPOmen/comments/1obgsf6/comment/nkkm9en/
As you can see, multiple users are facing the same black screen issue with the BIOS version F.30.
There is also an issue with the on-board AMD drivers which wasn't there before the BIOS update. The graphic drivers keep crashing occasionally. It doesn't matter which AMD driver I am using. I have tried multiple driver versions but all are displaying the same issues.
So, I suspect that all these problems are happening due to the recent BIOS update, and it seems that they are interconnected because I wasn't facing such graphic driver issues when I was on BIOS version F.29.
Please HP team, I request you to kindly look into this matter and treat it as urgent. Please investigate and fix the issues with the latest BIOS version F.30.
To all users - Do not attempt at rolling back the drivers to F.29 because that might permanently brick your laptop. The F.30 version comes with a security patch and it is clearly written not to roll back to F.29 due to this security update.
