The Poly Software update for the charging case pointed to release notes at plantronics.com instead of hp.com - I found them here https://support.hp.com/us-en/search?q=poly%205200%20firmware%20release%20notes

The original incorrect URL is http://www.plantronics.com/firmware-release-notes/?pid=D008

The correct link is

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_11049921-9642838-16

Kudos to your AI search for finding it!  I posted this issue as a bug at https://lens.poly.com/appfeedback

Hello @BarryGraham ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

Poly, the company before it was purchased by HP, was a joined company out of the Polycom company and Plantronics.

Yes, obviously both you and I know that but apparently the developers of the firmware for the Poly Desktop software don't know that because the URL provided when it offers the firmware upgrade points to an outdated site for the release notes. This is odd since it does find the actual update, just not the release notes

Since you are an HP employee can you please pass this bug report on to the right people, or let me know how I can open a case? They need to update the app to point to the right URL for the release notes.

Hello @BarryGraham

the URL posted does not go to a direct location so if you could check or share how you got to it then I can forward this to the right team.

It's funny that I didn't realize the case was rechargeable until today. I thought you always had to plug it in. Just shows that reading the manual can be helpful sometimes.

Hello @BarryGraham

do you mean using Poly Lens Desktop the Release Notes link is to Plantronics or using Poly Lens Cloud?

I struggle to understand the issue at hand.

Regards

Steffen

Hello @BarryGraham ,

I do not have a 5200 so the easiest way would be Please open a Lens Mopinion Bug via https://lens.poly.com/appfeedback

Please add your Lens desktop version and maybe reference this chat.

Best Regards
