Too bad the issue still exists. That patch is nowhere to be found and no proper info as well.

Nothing has been solved yet.

This update to HP Power Manager is not available for me. Latest version I can download is

3.0.14.0 Rev.A with file name sp139073.exe

Which is the one I already have.

So for now this is not a solution, at least for my device.

I got the update today, too, and it was followed by the same problem.

Unfortunately, this version is not avalaible for my device with the same problem (EliteBook 855 G8). I can only download sp139073.exe or older versions.

This solution should not be accepted as it solves nothing for me and apparently for others as well. Please provide us with more accurate info. So far I'm very dissappointed by HP's approach to their clients, who purchased expensive bussiness laptops (which are supposed to be premium, but that doesn't stop HP from rolling out terrible and malfunctioning software updates).

Hi @ric_ob ,

The latest version for my laptop is sp139073.exe. I am not able to find sp140138.exe for my model: 314K2EA

Any idea when it is going to be available?

With kind regards,

NJ

Same issue for me.

HP ZBook Studio G8.

Latest firmware installed but CPU still  is consumed by Intelligent_Charging_Scheduler 10-14% all the time.

Ich habe die Datei in ICS2 umbenannt, so das es erstmal nicht starten kann. Warte jetzt auf die Änderung.

I renamed the Programm in ICS2, so it dont start and i have my silence. Waiting for the next fix.

Model:

Systemmodell: HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 Mobile Workstation
Systemtyp: x64-based PC

BIOS-Version: HP S92 Ver. 01.09.00, 07.04.2022

This doesn't work. I installed HP Power Manager through that link, changed my BIOS settings so that I could edit the charging schedule settings, and it has no effect. ICS.exe still runs constantly at 20% CPU while my laptop is plugged in. I'm on Windows 11 21H2 with a HP ProBook x360 435 G8 Notebook PC. Help!

Hi,

I had the same issue with my ProBook 440 G8 and based on the information in this and other threads I forged an url for sp140138.exe https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp140001-140500/sp140138.exe

Even it's not officially for my laptop it works and cpu usage is 0% for ICS.exe now. Use at your own risk.

Cheers
