I have a Plantronics Savi 740 headset.  I recently upgraded to a Windows 11 laptop.

The headset functions fine with the laptop and I am able to use it for Teams calls, videos, etc.  However, on my Windows 10 laptop, I had the Plantronics Hub software installed and found that I could tweak a few settings on the headset (such as changing the mute notification sound, etc.)

I went to grab the software and found that Poly Lens is the latest recommended software to manage my device.  I had it installed (my laptop is locked down and managed by my IT dept, so getting new software installed is not trivial), but it looks like the Poly Lens software does not recognize my device (or perhaps I just don't know what it's supposed to look like when it does.  All I see is a message on the left saying "Connect a device to get started."

Do I need to go back to Plantronics Hub for this admittedly older headset?  Like I said, the device actually works fine, but I do want to be able to tweak a few settings.

Hello @lpickup ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

According to >here< the Savi 740 aka Savi 700 series "should" be a supported device.  Unsure what IT is restricting on your PC

Best Regards

Thanks for the reply.  The provided link does not work for me.

I did find a YouTube video (recognizing it's not official) that stated that older headsets (and specifically mentioning the Savi 740) such as mine are not supported by Poly Lens and I would have to continue to use Plantronics Hub (see 1:52 in https://youtu.be/SGjo7iB50e4?si=JrFCA-q6jc0L-E9D&t=112)

BTW, what IT restricts on my laptop is my ability (as a mere user) to install software, so I have to have an admin install software for me.  It's not impossible, but it's just an added hassle.
