Hi @Wizards01
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
The 59.C0 error on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw typically indicates a Developer Motor Rotation Error—meaning the printer is having trouble rotating the internal motor that drives toner distribution.
Here’s how to troubleshoot it:
🛠️ Step-by-Step Fix for 59.C0 Error
1. Power Cycle and Toner Check
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
- Remove all toner cartridges.
- Power the printer back on without any cartridges.
- Then insert one cartridge at a time, closing the access door after each.
- If the error reappears after inserting a specific cartridge, that one may be faulty.
2. Inspect Toner Cartridges
- Make sure all cartridges are HP OEM and not third-party or refilled.
- Check for any jammed or seized drums—a stuck cartridge can trigger the error.
3. Update Firmware
- Visit the HP M283fdw support page and install the latest firmware.
- Use a USB connection if the printer isn’t responding over Wi-Fi.
4. Reset the Printer
- Press and hold the Cancel + Wireless buttons together for 20 seconds.
- This may trigger a deeper reset and clear internal error states.
Let me know how far you get—I’ll help you take the next step if needed! 💪🖨️
