if you still have old printhead what happens when you put it back in the printer?

Contacts on new printhead are cleaned?

If I put old one in it says poor quality

The printer will print with the old one but I get no black

Since you updated firmware that fixes a problem with dates on printheads, you might have defective printhead.

Do you have proof of purchase, can you contact your dealer and ask for the warranty claim on a printhead, you might have defective printhead.

i have another new head that i get same error

i have also tried swaping guts from new to old

still says poor

yesterday i spent a while tring to get it to load firmware

today it said it loaded but just tried a few ago and now it cannot find the printer

If possible use computer with XP to upload firmware.

i am not completly sure that it installed firmware

i know it said it did but  i just tried again and will not find printer
