i recently purchased a VVX500 moving away from the ciscos..
but the issue I have is my VVX500 will not dial a number without the need for adding a 1 - its making me bonkers..
i have tried everything.
the phone factory was
[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT|**x.T|+x.T
I changed it to
[2-9]11|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|[1-9]xxT
it will for the life of me, not dial 1 before the numbers.
i have tried this as well.
[2-9]11|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxx|[1-9]xxT
loosing my mind..
our numbers in our region require you dial area code + number..
i tired of manually dialing the 1

Hello Steve,
The FAq post should be sufficient to do this and to troubleshoot.
Can yu provide an example number you try to dial ?

Hello Steve,
I am unsure if you looked at the above quoted FAQ post or tried anything suggested in there but looking at this sentence / example:
- RR604Rxxxxxxx—prepend 604 to all 7 digit numbers
— For example, if a customer dials 4539400, 604 is added to the front of the number, so a call 6044539400 is placed.
The above is an applicable example and you could simply change RR604R into RR1R
Changing therefore:
[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT|**x.T
into
[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|RR1R[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT|**x.T
would dial a 1 for all calls starting matching this:
- [2-9]xxxxxxxxx: Long Distance rule without prefix allowing Digits from 2 => 9 with an additional 9 Digits allowing a 10 Digit Number to be dialed
Log to prove it:
