Hi,

I have been searching for a way to disable the "auto complete" behavior when dialing numbers (what makes the phone looks in it`s recent calls list to give you options, like a browser auto complete feature).

I suspect this is slowing down the phone just a tiny bit when composing numbers, enough to make some very difficult users annoyed.

Regardless of whether this is the issue or not, is there a way to disable this auto complete functionality without disabling the

recent lists functinality itself? I`d still like them to be able to have this list if it needs to be looked at.

I`ve been over the admin manual for 5.4 and couldn`t find it, but then again i may be using the wrong search terms.

Thanks Steffen - maybe you could help me here: I am a Polycom reseller (certified and all), but I keep on being referred to a Polycom reseller in those cases.

As a Polycom reseller, how do I follow-up a feature reques/bug?

I bought my phone from a Canadian distributor. They may, or may not have bought it from Scansource (I have never heard that name before just now) who then resold it to me, who as a Polycom certified VoIP VAR,  then resold it to the end user.

While I don't blame you personally, you do realise that making all feature requests, bug reports etc go through this long chain might explain how Polycom is completely disconnected from their customers?

You seem to be the only Polycom employee involved here (at least in the VoIP forum) and while I do appreciate how your technical answers are always relevant, and that you answer very quickly, I am very dissapointed on how Polycom handles this sort of thing.  Handling the  end-user at arms length is one thing, but doing the same to resellers who go through the certification process make less sense.

What would it take for me to be considered a reseller? Buy directly from the Polycom?

I forwarded your details to one of my Canadian colleagues.

Hi mgaudette,

I'm in exact same situation. I tried about 8 months ago to open a features request with Polycom. I'm also a VARs and I can only wish you good luck. I have been able to talk to a Canadian rep and at the end I have a features request open somewhere and I have no way to track the status. You are right about the fact that Polycom is completly disconnected with their users.
