Hi Community. For some specialised reasons we are trying to disable the action of gaining dial tone when the handset is lifted. I don't see any parameter for this specifically. Has anyone please ever tried this?

In this test case the handsets are Poly e220 registered as SIP. The unique use case is that we simply want to disable the on\off action of the handpiece so that regardless of lifting it from the cradle - it will literally do nothing.

Handsets are running firmware version 8.2.1.0820

Hello @mesy1976 ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the actual HP Poly Product, or the Partner application version you use. For example, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms, USB mode, SIP/H.323 mode, etc.

This is important, especially in the future, when someone finds this post in days, months, or years.

Please do not simply edit the original post, but reply with the versions.

In the FAQ or the Read 1st section, we remind users why this is important.

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best regards

Handsets are running firmware version 8.2.1.0820 registered to Broadworks TIPT.

Under a trial and test the offhook\onhook action takes place even when the handset\piece cable is not physically connected to the phone. Its this that we are trying to overcome.

Thank you so much for the suggestion.

The parameter referenced >> here << does not exist in the .cfg file of current firmware.

Hello @mesy1976 ,

Did you follow the suggestion and download the attached autoOffHookAction.zip, unzip it, and upload the relevant file via the web interface as suggested?

What do you mean it does not exist in your firmware?

Again, I can only reference our VoIP FAQ:

Mar 08, 2013 Question: Where can I download configuration files from or create these myself?

Resolution: Please check => here <=
