Polycom VVX

Hi, We are trying to setup Polycom Phone Paging, and wondering what else do we need to configure as part of the paging setup? Perhaps on the switch or router layer?

We have over 100 locations, and we want paging to work per location.
Does it mean I need to assign 1 multicast IP Address per location? Or do I use the same IP Address with different port?

Hello @CK626 ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

From our VoIP FAQ:

Jan 21, 2014 Question: How can I use PTT / Push To Talk / Paging / Page ?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Multicast traffic usually does not travel outside a network via a Router, but if you have routers or VLANs connecting local sites, you may need to look into enabling IGMP/PIM.

Best Regards
