Congratulations on your 14 years of service with Polycom.

 

The only reason the issue is not "well-know" because Polycom makes it extremely difficult to report issues during the warranty period and impossible to report something after the warranty has expired. But if thinking that it isn't a pervasive issue is what gets you through the day then good for you.

throughout the public Poly community, hosted by my daytime job employer Poly, we do remind users in either the terms and conditions or the FAQs to keep the tone and dialog professional and courteous to each other.

 

This is not some unregulated hobbyist community forum.

 

I, therefore, do not appreciate your tone and replies when specifically tagging me in a post. Especially belittling my contributions, made in my personal time, to this community.

 

  • I already explained my own personal involvement within the community in detail. This is part of my signature and my Bio and available with my real name.

  • I also try and explain my daytime job employer Poly’s position when supporting untrained end-users. This is again highlighted in multiple locations within the official Poly community. This is a day one fact well before I started with Poly.

I personally took this SoundStation IP 6000 issue up with our product management team but as this is not a widely affecting issue the conclusion was to offer end-customers the ability to RMA their well out of warranty devices for a competitive price.

 

If you decide not to follow this up this is your personal choice but within this official community, we cannot really allow hobbyist's attempts to recover these units.

 

As you seem some sort of a keyboard warrior hiding behind a handle I am closing this post to prevent further unprofessional comments and personal attacks on my own person.
