I added upgraded firmware to the boot server of the Polycom phones at a site. The new firmware has been sitting on the server for approxmately a week. On a ramdom morning phones at the site began upgrading themselves without being manually rebooted and there was no loss of POE that could have triggered this.
The question is if there is some kind of configuration in Polycom handset that check against the current firmware on the phone to that in the boot server, an if different do a upgrade/downgrade?
Please advise
Thanks

Hello Jam,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
The phones do check the <mac>.cfg or 000000000000.cfg and therefore subsequently the server for any change when they are booting or most likely if the network connection is lost.
You should check the logs on the server.
You can send a Check-Sync to the phone to do this or set a timer in the phones to do this randomly.
