Hello, I'm trying to setup a Visual+ attached to a Trio 8800, but I'm not succeeding. The IP for the Visual+ is completely different to the IP for the Trio 8800. They are not in the same subnet. I want to know if it is possible to reset my Visual+ to get another IP or some other procedure to change this IP. I have tried many ways, but got no success.

Hello @pedrobrandao, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Visual+ with the Poly Trio 8800.
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!
To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?
To successfully pair the Poly Trio Visual+ accessory with the Trio 8800 system, both devices need to be on the same subnet. Unfortunately, if the IP addresses are not in the same subnet, pairing will not work.
Here are steps you can follow to change the subnet for your Visual+ or reset it to acquire a new IP address:
Reset Visual+ to Default Settings
Access the Visual+ Configuration:
- Enter the IP address of the Visual+ into a web browser. You might need to be on the same network temporarily to access it.
- Log in as administrator.
Reset Network Settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Network > General.
- Look for an option to reset to factory settings or revert network settings.
- If there is no direct reset option, try manually configuring the IP settings to ensure it matches the subnet of the Trio 8800.
Reconfigure Network:
- Once reset, ensure that both Trio Visual+ and Trio 8800 are connected to the same network segment or VLAN.
- If using DHCP, ensure the DHCP server assigns both devices IP addresses within the same subnet.
Manually Set IP Configuration
If resetting does not resolve the issue, you can try assigning a static IP address manually:
Access Device Configuration:
- Again, use the Visual+ IP address via a web browser.
Modify IP Settings:
- Go to Settings > Network > IP Configuration.
- Set a static IP address that fits within the same subnet range as the Trio 8800’s IP.
Network Requirements for Pairing
- Ensure that multicast addresses and necessary ports are unblocked on the network to facilitate pairing.
- Check your network infrastructure to make sure both devices are allowed to communicate and are not blocked by network policies.
Once the Visual+ is correctly configured within the same subnet, attempt pairing again through the Trio 8800 interface:
- On the Trio 8800, go to Settings > Advanced > Networked Devices.
- Ensure that notification of new devices is enabled and manually search and pair the Visual+.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult your network administrator to ensure the network is correctly set up for these devices.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Hello @pedrobrandao ,
Welcome to the HP Poly community.
Risking being told off for not "Upholding Professional Respect in Discussions" by replying to a post that was already replied to.
Have you yet factory restored the Visual+ ?
From our VoIP FAQ:
Oct 10, 2011 Question: How can I reset / Factory default my Phone configuration?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Also, try to manually provision the device to have a fixed IP or set a Password, as the Visual+ does not have a UI to set the mandatory out-of-box password using the latest software.
Dec 04, 2015 Question:How can I provision/upgrade the software or provide configuration via USB for the Poly Trio, CCX, Edge E and/or Visual+?
Resolution: Please check this post => here <=
Best Regards
Steffen Baier
