Alexa For Business Enhancements
- UC Release 5.9.1 AA (or later) release, Alexa is now leveraging the native calendar for processing.
- This means that any meeting whereby Trio has a ‘Join Button’, a user will be able to join via Alexa voice commands.
- This is an extension of the behaviour from 5.9.0 AD (or earlier) by now allowing for customers to join RealConnect invitations or any complex dial rule that has been supported via the native calendaring.
- Additionally, if OTD Service is leveraged, the calendar integration will still provide a Join button and work with the Alexa for Business Feature without any additional configuration. - Alexa now no longer needs the customer to integrate their calendar environment with Amazon to join meetings
- This new feature implementation is automatic and requires no additional configuration or changes to existing customers.

Sandbox:
- USB Passthrough
Windows 10 support via Poly Trio Passthrough app
NOTE: Not supported for any VDI implementation - Visual+ Multi-Camera Support
- Support For Three Displays with Visual+/VisualPro
- Polycom Studio Video Bar Support
USB Passthrough for Trio 8500 & Trio 8800
- The camera, speaker and microphone of the Trio can be passed to a Windows 10 PC connected to Trio via a USB 2.0 cable and the screen of the PC can be mirrored to the Trio’s display.
- Requires “Poly Trio Passthrough” application which can be installed for free on any Windows 10 PC.
NOTE: Not supported for any VDI implementation
During the "Sandbox" phase of USB Passthrough (ie. in this release), customers need to get the Windows 10 software from the Trio Software ZIP file itself rather than from a separate posting on support.polycom.com. Within the ZIP files, there is a folder titled "Poly_Experimental_Software".
After the installation unzip mr_devicePassThrough_usb_enabled_On.zip and import the file via the Web Interface. Once installed and connected via USB the Poly Trio Pass-through software can be started. Once it is running the Poly Trio can be selected as a camera. The Poly Trio UI can be used to control the camera (if supported). The Application can also be used to share the PC Desktop on the Trio Visual+ and VisualPro screen. - Any supported Visual+ and/or VisualPro camera(s)
- Fully compatible with Visual+ multicamera switching!
- Does NOT require guest PC to be on the same network as the Trio
- All TX/RX between Trio and the PC is done over USB cable (Trio’s Micro-USB port connected to a Type A USB port on the PC)
- Compatible with all Windows 10-based UC/VaaS soft clients:
Microsoft SfB/Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, etc. - Cannot run at the same PC as BToE application
Visual+ Multi-Camera Support
Trio can now support multiple cameras connected via 1 or more paired Trio Visual+ accessories
- When enabled, and multiple cameras are connected, this icon will appear.
- Pressing this button will toggle between all connected cameras
- Presets are shared among all camera devices. Select Camera then selecting presets 1-8 will automatically select the saved Camera and navigate to the saved coordinates.
NOTE: The Home Preset will not toggle the selected camera, it will only reset the coordinates of the currently selected camera.
