HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q110na (Touch)

Hi all,

I'm trying to recover or roll back the BIOS on my HP Pavilion All-in-One 23-q110na.
The latest BIOS file (SP93282 – A0.13 Rev.A) fails with the error:

“The System BIOS recovery failed. Unable to open BIOS Image file. Error code: 13”

I'm looking for an older version of the BIOS, ideally A0.07, A0.09, or A0.11, that is compatible with platform ID CRU.

Would anyone happen to have a backup or SoftPaq link (e.g. SP93xxx.exe) to an earlier working BIOS for this model?

Serial Number: 4CH6167T3V
Current issue: BIOS recovery won't load A0.13 and I suspect an older version may still work.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi:

You can find all of the available previous BIOS version downloads by clicking to expand the Revision History tab on the A0.13 BIOS update page at the link below:

Thanks for the help.

One follow up question. I create the usb installation. I reboot and use the Windows-B at reboot. I get the beeps then BIOS Update Failed. It then reboots and shows the bios version still at 0.03. Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards and thanks in advance.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, the only suggestion I can offer would be to watch this video and see if trying to restore the BIOS using this method works.

Hi,

Again thank you, that is very helpful.

I tried that process but apparently it needs a .sig file to verify the bios file. Using HPs tool it doesn't provide the .sig file. Any ideas?

Kind regards,

You're very welcome.

Sorry that didn't work either.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with troubleshooting BIOS issues, so I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

It might be time to take the PC into your local PC repair shop, or buy a new PC.

Best Regards,
