BIOS issue?
I have ran the diagnostics and the system says everything has Passed all tests. i've ran these for hours, no issues, no overheating.
I installed Windows 10, it booted up, I ran Windows Update for the first time, it updated many things, including the Bios.
I restarted as directed, the system now freezes when loading windows, I left on overnight, it is still frozen.
I made a flash drive boot of windows, formatted SSD and HDD. Reinstalled Windows 10, does not make it through the loading screen again, I can't even get to the desktop to Update or anything. I try the other hard drive, same thing. I make a new flash drive with Windows 11, same story, both hard drives.
So I think, maybe the BIOS update screwed the computer up. I download BIOS update on flash drive, go to install as per instructions on HP website, I am told the files can not be installed due to an invalid signature read...
I can not find information to resolve this and I'm about 4 weeks into trying to fix this PC off and on. Does anyone have information that may help in reinstalling the BIOS and getting around this error?
UPDATE: I removed the chip on the motherboard to reset the BIOS, I cleared the CMOS, and even removed the battery from the motherboard for a bit and put everything back together. I ripped a 100% working hard drive from another pc and plugged it in, formatted it, and installed windows. Same exact issue is still happening. I am at the point that I believe the motherboard needs to be replaced. However, HP does not offer replacements for this motherboard "Sunflower".
I'm still willing to try further fixes if anyone suggests them. In the meantime I'm checking prices for compatible boards for this processor, videocard, and ram.

I have the same problem on my HP pavilion 690-0067c, 8433 id.
Bios bumped to f.57 with a windows update a couple of weeks ago. Eagerly awaiting a solution someone has found to work. Seems like HP let a dirty release skip the QC line and escape the asylum. It'd be nice to have some acknowledgement of the slip up and what we should expect with regard to a solution. I'm fortunate that I did not go straight to clean install for a solve before finding several of these HP community threads. Here are just two of them.

An HP agent reached out to me via PM. The agent referred me to a technical support line. I called but despite this clearly being an error caused by HP, they could not provided any support outside of paying for technical support. My PC is out of warranty, but I have trouble with concept of paying for help on an issue that HP created. No components of the PC are broken or require repair/replacement due to use or age. It's simply been fed a faulty HP bios which is causing the PC to hard freeze multiple times a day. Is there another avenue for help? Otherwise I have a computer that I cannot use. I've always felt good about the HP brand and have had a long history with its' products. Disappointing

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

That's great you're helping him, but **bleep** dude. Why aren't you helping me or anyone else that has posted. I'm the one who created this post. If you guys really did create some Bios update that bricked the computer, you need to tell us how we can resolve this issue. You don't even offer replacements for the motherboard for me to buy. Instead of reaching out to one of the people replying to my post, reach out with information for Everyone here to resolve this.

Hi
Check this thread for a way to rollback the faulty BIOS update https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Desktops/Fix-For-The-F-57-BIOS-Bug-Which-Causes-Windows-10-amp-...
Or wait for HP to issue a new BIOS update to fix the problem. I would bet HP is working on this now.
