Do you mean the "K" the "F" or the "KF" version of this processor?  I see listings for all of those designations.

@D_S_T,

I meant either the 95-watt TDP i7 and i9 Intel Core "K" or the "KF" processor options, but of course also the 65-watt i7 and i9 "F" processors would work.

Roger that.  I ordered the i9-KF.  Can you suggest a cooling upgrade?  Thanks for all you help!

@D_S_T,

Sure I can: for example, please take a look at this TG01 CPU heatsink upgrade YouTube vid: HP Pavilion TG01 Cooling Upgrade Noctua CPU Heat sink and Fan Install W/ How To 1, or the CPU heatsink upgrade I used for my HP Pavilion TP01-3xxx upgrade project, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 90 SE White Dual-Towers CPU Cooler: Solved: Upgrading an HP Pavilion TP01-3003W (318K3AA) - Page 5 - HP Support Community - 9254350.

That Peerless Assassin looks pretty tall, confirm it'll fit in the TG01-1xxx?

@D_S_T,

The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 90 SE may appear tall, but it is only 110mm (~4.3 inches) tall, and it fitted just fine in my Pavilion TP01-3xxx case.  Of course, you'll have to make a simple measurement in your TG01-1xxx case to be 100% certain.

To circle back what you mentioned earlier on in your discussion thread, you said that you were going to use an external ATX power supply in order to power a graphics card using one of those 24-pin ATX power supply adapters.  Yes, you can do this, but as I mentioned in my TP01-3xxx upgrade link, there is also a compatible 650-watt power supply with p/n:  L57253-003 / L36049-003 (also compatible with your Baker motherboard), with which you can power high-end graphics cards such as a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4070 Ti Super and the like, bypassing the need for an external ATX power supply.  Heck, you can even power a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 5070 OC 12GB just with a 500-watt power supply, as I did yesterday in my HP Pavilion 590-p0030 upgrade project!

Disclaimer: For the cherry pickers 🍒 amongst us -you know who you are! 😎 -btw, using a 500-watt power supply to power a 250-watt TDP RTX 5070 is not advisable.  As a matter of fact, I may/should have to upgrade the power supply to the aforementioned 650-watt power supply in order to avoid risking offending the Universe.

Hmmmm . . . . I *am* going to be upgrading to the 4070ti super 2 fan.  So you're saying I can use this L57253-003 / L36049-003 with my Baker mobo and NOT do the separate PSU hack/mod?

Headroom is nice but if I can do everything in the case, that's to preferred option.

@D_S_T,

That is affirmative.

These 650-watt power supplies can be purchased online, such as via this trusted eBay Seller: Power Supply Z2 G3 G4 G5 800 TE01 TG01 L36049-003 US FOR HP Envy-795-0003UR 650W | eBay.

Nice!  Going that route.  Thanks so much.  DST

Now, regarding the CPU.  The i9 is 125v by default, correct?  Does this need to be undervolted to 95v, or does the motherboard limit that automatically somehow?  If it needs to be user adjusted does that take place in the BIOS or somewhere else?
