Hi,
Apologize for posting to this board, but the option for desktop hardware upgrade would not allow selection.
Purchased new HP ENVY All-in-One - 27-b110 yesterday and today am trying to replace the HDD with an SSD. Issue - I cannot find documentation about opening the base. I could polk around, but I hate to tear up anything. All HP links regarding this product are either broken or unable to find.
Appreciate the help.

Hi @Reffy,
I do see that the required manual for some reason is not availble in the website. I have sent a request to have that loaded in the website. Please give me sometime and will keep you posted.

I also had no success in searching the HP Support web-site.
But, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RvggCtXzHc
for a YouTube video on how to replace the RAM and hard-drive, which obviously requires disassembly.

Morning, Thanks for replying with the Youtube link, but my model of AIO is totally different - all parts are in the base and not in back of the display. The display is really thin which is cool. Thanks anyway.

Take my idea and run with it, namely to search YouTube for your specific model-number, and see if a "repair" or "disassembly" video has been posted.

Appreciate the tip. The search process was one of the things I did yesterday and then today before posting here - search yielded no results. Not sure if this model is too new for anyone to have posted anything yet. I'll go search again to be sure - I could have typed in wrong parameters.

From: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/198959/HP-ENVY-27-b110-All-In/
Powerful 1TB (1000GB) hard drive holds your songs, photos, documents and other files.
128GB solid state drive.
Solid state drives generally deliver a cooler computing environment, faster boot up times, lower energy usage and greater productivity than traditional hard disk drives.
Includes 16GB of memory to run your programs and games. Memory is not expandable
Your computer already has a large SSD, i.e., fast booting of Windows, and fast loading of applications, and has "lots" of RAM.
So, given what you have already spent to buy this "high-end" computer, do you need to spend more to upgrade it?
Just asking!

Good question - I have been in IT for many years and I have had to replace way too many HDD's because of heat or just plain mechanical failure. Started replacing HDD's with SSD's and the results over the years have been much more favorable. Besides the speed increase, lack of noise and better response time, spending the extra funds is a no brainer for me.
