A new flashdrive will not help. Do you know how to copy the installation files to a separate partition on your installation drive?
The best way is to connect your drive to a different computer and create 2 partitions. One for the setup and one for the installation files.

Your Flash-Drive looks good. But you never mentioned that you replaced the HDD. You should buy a SSD. If you don't find the right bracket, you can fix it by tape, because it doesn't have moving parts and it's not heavy.
In the setup-page where you select the drive you see a yellow star (new). Select that and choose an appropriate size in MB.
(ex. 120 GB x 1024 =122880). Then the recovery partition will be placed at the right position. The Partition for files can be added later from the OS.
