Hi @Ollie513
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If you have an HP ENVY 7755 printer and need to replace the ink cartridges, follow these steps to ensure the process is completed correctly.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Load Paper:
- Before replacing cartridges, make sure to load paper into the printer.
- Pull out the input tray, push in the photo tray, slide out the paper width guides, and align a stack of paper.
- Load plain white paper, push the paper towards the back of the tray, and slide the width guides inward.
- Push the input tray back into the printer until it locks into place. Confirm paper size/type if prompted.
Power On the Printer:
- Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
Open Cartridge Access Door:
- Place two fingers under one or both small handles on the sides of the cartridge access door and lift up. The "Door Open" screen will display on the printer control panel.
Remove Old Cartridges:
- Lightly press down on each ink cartridge to release it.
- Pull each cartridge towards you to remove it from its slot and set it aside for recycling.
Prepare New Cartridges:
- Remove the new cartridge from its package, touching only the black plastic.
- Pull the orange tab to remove protective tape from the cartridge without touching the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
Install New Cartridges:
- Slide each cartridge into the empty slot at a slight upward angle and gently push up until it snaps into place.
- Repeat these steps for other cartridges if necessary.
Close Cartridge Access Door:
- Close the cartridge access door and touch OK on the printer control panel.
- Wait for the printer to calibrate and align the cartridges. After alignment, an alignment page may print. Touch OK.
Manually Align (if Needed):
- If the printer does not print an alignment page, manually align the printer by loading plain white paper.
- On the printer control panel, swipe the display to show more menu options, touch Setup icon, then Printer Maintenance, and finally Align Printer. Follow on-screen instructions.
