I'm trying to connect a second monitor to my HP Envy Desktop -TE01. I have the second monitor connected using the display port, but I'm getting the message "Monitor Not Detected". I 've tried restarting the computer, checking the cables, and it continues giving the same message. I have Windows 10 and both monitors are VISIO. Any suggestions?

Hi Promethee,
Yes. It's a CTO model. TE01-015xt CTO
I believe the graphics card is Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 (HDMI and Display Port)
The motherboard product is 8653 which is the Rother
My VISIO are model E422VLE (current display connected via HDMI) and the one I wish to add is VO520E.
For the VO520E, I connect with HDMI with an adapter to the display port.
I believe I used the method as described in your link.

ok, sorry
I have a doubt, if no graphics card, something is not clear you indicate, I am not mistaken, that you are using two hdmi ports of the computer
"My VISIO are model E422VLE (current display connected via HDMI) and the one I wish to add is VO520E.

, correct?
but on the motherboard you normally have
(1) VGA port
(1) HDMI 1.4b/HDCP 2.2 port
If you are using two hdmi ports, then I guess one is from the motherboard, and the other is from a graphics card, which would explain why it doesn't work
unless the graphics card has multiple hdmi ports?
take a good look here, the graphics card is not in the same place
https://www.microcenter.com/product/648748/hp-envy-te01-3021-desktop-computer
motherboard ports are in the vertical
there is no graphics card in the images here, but it would be horizontal
Are you sure you don't have an extra card?

Hi Promethee,
I'm sorry if this is a duplicate, but I wasn't sure if the message was sent.

Does CTO models not support dual monitors?
Thanks in advance.

I'm apologize for the confusion.
The computer has a HDMI and a VGA port. I used an adapter to connect from the VISIO HDMI to the VGA. Is this the problem?
I do have a webcam currently plugged into one of the ports. Could this be the problem too? Below is the backside of the computer.

no, no please, it does not matter
In this case, yes I think it's more a problem with the adapter
I don't even know if there are functional ones in this type of vga/hdmi configuration
I only tested the one I gave in my tutorial
I don't think I can tell you a model if not tested
if not, you would have to find a graphics card, but not at all powerful, because I assume you only have a 180w power supply
