I contacted the support service, they said that platforms with processors with the letter "f" do not support overlocking capabilities in any form, in principle, obviously. these processors are not in the specifications of Intel regarding the support of xmp profiles.

So, we can say that the issue is closed.

Actually - HP recently released a BIOS for the Omen 30L that now supports non-HP-branded XMP-memory.

Does this mean there is hope for the 25L people? I at least half way regret that I spend $ on a 2 x 16Gb Kingston set that were supposed to run at 3200 Mhz, but in stead won't go any higher than 2400 Mhz.

I would absolutely LOVE to see HP add XMP to the 25L Bios and it's simple issues like this that make me regret that I bought a pre-build - which I am obviously talking to all my friends about along with the heat-issue, that I am fixing myself.

HP ... Please give me something GOOD to talk about with my fiends - give us 25L people an XMP-enabled BIOS too!!!

I admit I haven't watched the video, I don't know if it mentions a particular model, but read the links given, so far, it was precisely with certain motherboard models

No, it’s not new… It’s 7 months old and possibly another motherboard - what’s your point? That fact only makes me wonder even more what’s holding them back?

The board that’s in the 25L does support XMP profiles - but the current bios is limited to HP-Kingston memory XMP profiles only and will run non-HP RAM at a reduced speed.

It was the exact same problem with the 30L - until for unknown reasons, HP released a BIOS update (F20) with all XMP features enabled.

if they can do it for the 30L - they can do it for the 25L.

the video is therefore not completely useful since not applicable to all

therefore applies to most, probably all OC type models at the moment and difficult to know if this will change
