I just started having the same issue with my 27in Envy all-in-one. I have had this machine for 2 years now and this is it's first issue. I seem to have found a work-around. If when I shut the computer down and unplug it, next time I start it up I have no issues. But if I shut it down or restart it with out unpluging it, the mouse jumps around and starts opening apps.

Thanks, Joe. Right now it's not an issue for me, since my 3 year old HP Envy All-in-One is in the shop getting diagnostics run on it, with, mostly likely, a failing hard drive. 🤬😡🤬😡🤬 I really thought HP was going to be the name I was not going to have issues with, but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case with this $1000 computer. 😡

HP 15 inch Laptop i7 256gSSD Windows 10 (Warranty) November 2018.
A month ago while on twitter started receiving double flashing cursors, windows opening on their own and circles on touchscreen, Issue occurred while adjusting my panel or any slight movement.
Contacted HP and they did a remote access on my laptop and I was able to re-create problem which was determined by Tech as hardware(Touchscreen) in nature.
Sent in laptop for repair a week ago.
Received Laptop this morning and started up with same problems as before.
Service paperwork stated tests were done after repairs to Hinge, Base Enclosure, Cable EDP TS.
Not sure what tests HP Techs did but the problems are still obvious.
Contacted HP again, and will be sending in for second repair.
This is NOT a software issue or virus, this is a hardware issue. If problem persists after next repair I will be requesting replacement without touchscreen,
SIDENOTE: Temp fix is disabling touchscreen via Device Manager - Human Interface-HID Touchscreen-Disable

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
