HP ENVY x360 with USB-C Mini dock
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

Last week I have received the HP USB-C min dock, to connect a second screen to my HP laptop. This morning I arrived at work and plugged in the laptop into its power and also attached the USB-C mini dock to the laptops input for it, like I did each day last week.

Only this morning the HDMI does not get recognized in the USB-C??

I have used both USB ports + the Ethernet cable on the back and the last port used is the  HDMI one, which suddenly does NOT work anymore??

I ofcourse checked all the inputs in the monitor and the hub itself. I plugged the HDMI directly in the laptop and this works, but when using it via the dock it doesnt work anymore. So its not a broken HDMI cable..

I have the latest USB-C mini dock drivers installed.

I restarted the laptop, etc. multiple times, but no success?

Is the input broken by itself just like that? Or is this a common issue?

Please help! Thanks in advance.

Okay... After the weekend I start the laptop again and plug in the dock and now it doesnt recognise the HDMI via the USB-C at all anymore...?

This USB-C DOCK is only giving problems now. All latest drivers are installed, etc.

Why is this happening? It work fine the first couple of days, but now it's not working at all anymore.

Plugging th HDMI directly in the laptop (so not in the HUB) works.. But this is not the setup I want..

Hi Riddle,

1. Like I said before the dock + external screen had no problems the first couple of days and suddenly from the 5th day it completely stopped working and doesnt recoginse the HDMI input in the mini-dock...

2. I have this HP laptop:

Your link to the webstore page NOWHERE lists the list of compatible products, like you pasted in your answer??

@NikolaPopovic I'll attach a screenshot to help you navigate to the page I'm referring to, that said, if a product is not compatible, it may work for some time or may not work at all, there's no guarantee that it would work unless its a part of the list,

That said, here's the screenshot:

Scroll down to find the details.

I hope that helps!
