@tomshpf,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the monitor power button is not working correctly.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you contact support as it is a mechanical issue and they will assist you in this regard.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!

Sorry your reply is no good to me, they only want me to sign up for an extended warranty, which i cannot afford being a low income disabled senior. Thanks anyway, Any other suggestions please?

@tomshpf That's a hardware issue, I'm afraid there's no fix, what the last tech suggested, was for you to contact HP phone and discuss your options on getting the monitor repaired or replaced,

If your device is not within warranty anymore, here's what i need you to do:

Send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
