HP Pavilion 22-a109
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I would like to use the AIO monitor as an external monitor for my laptop via HDMI. The 22-a109 has an HDMI port in the back but I am not certain if the port is HDMI in or HDMI out. The documentaion only says that it is an HDMI port and I cannot get it to work when I try to connect the laptop's output to it ... Should I be able to get it to work?

If the HDMI port does not support external input, what are my other options? Would any other connector work as video input (maybe a USB?)

Many thanks

Hi@JerryWjw,

Thanks for stopping by HP Support Forums.

I came across your post and would like to help.

Need to know if you can connect the all-in-one as an external monitor. Is that, correct?

An All-in-one PC cannot be used as an external monitor as it doesn’t have the capability to receive the video signal from another PC.

Hope the solution answers your query. Feel free to reply back for more.
