Welcome to the HP Support Community!

That sounds frustrating! Here are a few ways to cancel print jobs on your HP printer:
Method 1: Cancel from the Printer Control Panel
- If your printer has a touchscreen, look for a Cancel, Stop, or X button and tap it.
- If your printer has physical buttons, press the Cancel button.
Method 2: Cancel from Windows
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP printer and select See what’s printing.
- Right-click the print job and select Cancel.
Method 3: Cancel from HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart App on your computer or phone.
- Go to Printer Settings > Print Queue.
- Select the print job and click Cancel.
Method 4: Restart the Print Spooler (Advanced)
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type the following commands one by one
net stop spooler
del /Q /F C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*
net start spooler - Restart your computer and try printing again.
If the print job still won’t cancel, check out HP’s official troubleshooting guide here.
