Try either:

or

I have an HP Mini 1000 with a password coming up before Windows loads. How can I get past this screen?
It doesn't seem to accept certain letters keyed in here such as "e" and "o".
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Connect an external usb QWERTY keyboard and see if you can enter the code using this.

Thanks for the reply. I tried connecting a USB keybaord (that works fine on a desktop PC), then booting the HP Mini and it doesn't appear to recognize it. No caps/Num Lock lights, no response on key press, etc.
Any other thoughts?
