@Ix2016 I experienced the same issue. When I came to update the bios using the HP Support Assistant, it hung on the install for about 20 minutes when it should only be about 5.
Yes, I have a different laptop and bios, but my solution should work on most, if not all that are experiencing this.

Also, as I don't know which driver version you have, this site says it has Win 10 drivers for the Spectre x360 13-4013dx if it helps.

I have the same issue (HP 255 G4), BIOS update never downloaded (waited an hour), but I received no error messages and when I stopped the process computer was running normally.

Recommend ignoring HP Assistant; reboot and hit ESC key on startup; then select BIOS update and follow directions from there.  Be patient because it takes 3-5 minutes to complete process.  Eventually after 1 or 2 restarts you will be up and running with a new updated BIOS.  Be patient.  All the best, Smiley
