Hi @kristiroyalty33,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Pavilion Gaming 15 is experiencing a power or boot issue. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

Check Power Supply:

  • Ensure that the power adapter and charging cable are working properly. Check for any visible damage to the cable.
  • Try using a different power outlet and, if possible, a different power adapter to see if the issue persists.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, external monitors, etc.).
  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power in the system.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and try to turn on the laptop.

Battery Reset:

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, remove it and press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  • Reinstall the battery, connect the power adapter, and try to power on the laptop.

BIOS Recovery:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Press and hold the Windows + B keys (or Windows + V if Windows + B doesn't work).
  • While holding the keys, press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds, then release the power button but continue holding the Windows + B keys until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a BIOS recovery.

Check RAM:

  • If you're comfortable opening your laptop, check the RAM modules. Sometimes reseating the RAM (removing and reinserting it) can resolve boot issues.
  • Ensure the RAM is properly seated in its slot.

External Monitor:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if the display is the issue. If the external monitor works, there might be a problem with your laptop's display or internal connections.

Inspect for Beep Codes:

  • When you power on the laptop, listen for any beep codes. These can indicate specific hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
