Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

Today i faced an issue with my Hp Omen 15 power adapter. It was charging completely fine but suddenly stopped working. I tried unplugging and replugging but it did not help. I tried different power sockets and it didnt work but later worked. When i came back to the original socket i was using it on, it worked then stopped again. I looked at some troubleshooting and followed the steps given in this particular article:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/HP-Omen-AC-adapter-does-not-charge-sometimes/td-p/767...
I followed all three solutions given in there and it did work and i was able to use my charger again for 2 hours but it stopped working again. When i conducted the component tests and my adapter started working again, it said that my battery, power source and adapter passed the test but this issue happened again. Can someone please let me know what could be the cause of this and if there’s a way to fix it?

Hi@Meena__

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Ac Adapter issues with the HP Omen Notebook.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Check with an alternate Ac Adapter / charger and check if it works.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • If the issue still persists then it could be a hardware issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I would also like to let you know that i often did troubleshoots from the support assistant on different things to check their health every now and then and they always came out clear. I did one a few days before this happened and it was also clear. I checked for updates when my charger worked a bit and everything was up to date.
i tried a different charger but it still didnt charge. Could it be that I need to replace my battery?

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

It could be a hardware issue on the PC and we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out.
