Dang it, I wasn't available the end of Dec when this was first posted.
I wanted to see if it had anything to do with a software issue. Possibly removing the Game Hub or even clean reinstalling with the MS Tool instead of the HP version. Im kinda leaning towards an XTU issue. If anyone else comes to this thread with the same issue, I would be curious. Sorry to hear of your trouble @jstuart83
The 300Hz 1080p screens must be a new addition to the Omen lineup now. I cant imagine it would eat up anymore power than an optional 4K screen that they now have at 144Hz though.
