i installed a full set of new HP cartridges. After a dozen pages of black-ink text, a few messy pages, followed by all blanks. i switched to blue text and it worked. i replaced the black again. Same thing. No printing. Have done all the maintenance options. No luck! how can i get in touch with a "live person" at HP?

@murphy0071 If you've ensure the copier and the print diagnostic page prints fine and yet the black ink doesn't work while printing via the computer: click here for steps to install a windows built-in driver,
however, if the copier doesn't work as a stand-alone device either, it is best you get to a live person to discuss your repair options, and here's how you can do that:
follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

@Riddle_Decipher - thanks for the quick reply and how-to description of a possible solution to the problem: black ink not working.
The other colours (blue, yellow, red) worked fine. Only the black wouldn't print. I tried the solution you suggested and then replaced the black cartridge with a new one - but no luck. FYI, I only use cartridges bought directly from HP.
I'm sad to say, but after a bunch of research and many hours trying suggested solutions, I've concluded my printer is "done". However, I'm not complaining since it's 5 years old and worked well - until yesterday. Because I've been so satisfied with my printer's performance and HP's customer support over the years, I'll be replacing the Old Workhorse with a new HP printer. For info, I'm a home user, amateur writer and probably print an average of 200+ pages per month.

Hello, I have the same problem. I have tried a new cartridge and even cleaning the new print head but still get extremely faint printing on the print quality report page from the printer and almost non-existent black when printing a test page from my Windows HP desktop. What else can I try before returning my 3 month old printer?

My suggestion is to return the printer. I'm a fan of HP and my experience is, they are at extremely good at replacing items that are still under warranty. Based on the age of my printer (about which I posted "black ink not working"), it became clear my printer had "run its course" (as happens with technology no matter how good care you take of it!) So, I ordered a new HP printer from HP online, but the model, I chose turned out to not be what I needed. They accepted the return and I got what I wanted. (FYI I don't work for HP, but I am a huge fan of their products and notably of customer service.)

Min printer er en 5510 All i one. Blækniveauet er fint, men den sorte patron udskriver ikke blæk. Jeg har kørt renseprogram for blækhovedet og div. justeringer, men intet hjælper. Mine blækpatroner ser anderledes ud end de, der er vist på vejledningen til manuel rengøring. Hvordan renser jeg mine?
