Hi, this is my first post here.

a couple weeks ago my prepaid card expired, and the printer is locked. I'd like to update the payment method.

METHOD 1

I open the windows app "HP smart", press the button to update the payment method, the browser launches at a new page, i  login, and see an HP smart page.

When i click on the instant ink button, everything is the same as method 2, because it's the same web pace encapsulated in the HP smart web page.

METHOD 2

I followed this article, but it doesn't work for me:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/Instant-Ink-Account-needs-attention-or-Update-...

Unfortunately, the thread is closed, so i made this new one, instead of replying there.

when i go to the "Instantink.com" site and click the button, it thinks i never had instant ink, and wants me to enroll. The problem is, that i can't follow the steps because my printer doesn't print the code when i press the info and web buttons. The web light just keeps blinking orange, forever. Pressing the info button prints a page that says that the printer is connected to the wireless network, its IP address, but not connected to the internet. why? Searching the web, an HP support article says that it blinks orange when the web services have some kind of errors, not necessarily because it can't surf the web. Well, thanks, i knew that! Now i'm in a deadlock. I can't print because i need to enroll, but i can't enroll because i need to print.

At this point i'm considering abandoning the service and going back to the simple pay-per-cartridge method. Will the printer work if i buy new cartridges? It's a deskjet 3700.

Thanks

I phoned the HP support of my country and it was able to solve the problem. It being that i was using the wrong email address for trying to setup the printer to a new HP instant ink account. Once logged in with the correct email address, the HP instant ink control panel was available. My bad, sorry
