Hello,

 

I am having issues with my instant ink cartridges, when inserted they give the 'Ink Cartridges Problem' error, which prompts me to reinstall the cartridge or buy a new one (why would I do that when I pay HP to send me them already?). I have seen that others have had this error and managed to solve it through the various cleaning methods listed on HP's website, but these do not work for me. Has anyone got any fixes for this and if there is no fix, what is the best way to request a replacement cartridge from Instant Ink, without having to call HP?

@JackFinney You are right, you don't have to pay for a replacement cartridge if you've got a subscription with the HP Instant Ink program, that said, I suggest you click here to troubleshoot and resolve cartridge errors, if the issue persists, respond to my private message and I'll help you accordingly,

Meanwhile, here are a few things you may want to know about your HP Instant Ink account page before we get into the details of resolving your concern: Click here for FAQs.

  • Your HP Instant Ink account page contains the data on past deliveries and estimated shipments.  
  • It also helps you understand what state your cartridges are in based on HP's data,  
  • Any issues will be shown with its solution using a step by step approach, to make it easier for you!

Please check your account page to see the latest cartridge information by signing into your account at "instantink.com".    

If the suggested information can't be found, You may respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly

Hello from Italy,

from yesterday I have the exact same problem with Black.

I've taken the entire morning in troubleshooting the issue: reinsert of the cartridge, rebooting and cleaning che contacts did not solve the situation.

It would be usefull to add a dedicated procedure directly into Instant Ink profile: the infos reached by the status of the cartridges are not clear; "there's a problem with a cartridge... try to solve... no cartridges will be delivered till you solve the problem..." but no mention on how to request the replacement of the cartridge; you will be redirected into the main support site, but you have to search... "exactly what"? The search is usefull if you know what to search.

Despite of this, how can I solve the issue?

Hello from Italy,

since this morning I have the  same problem with Black.

I've taken the entire morning in troubleshooting the issue: reinsert of the cartridge, rebooting and cleaning che contacts did not solve the situation. It really looks as if cartridge is not communicating with printer!!

I also tried to print using only one cartridge (i.e. color cartridge) and that option has worked.

Are you going to send a replacement for the faulty cartridge to solve the issue?
