HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello there,

I was the proud owner of a HP printer OfficeJet Pro 9015 until few weeks ago, until my dear printer decided to go for a false paper jam while doing a scan of some documents with the top document feeder (not directly on the scanner glass).

After running the HP doctor app (and checked that no paper was stuck anywhere, following HP instructions for that purpose), the advice was to perform a cold reset.

After doing that, when switching on, I had to choose country, language, and the printer suggested to do an alignment print. Except that when accepting this, the waiting circle kept spinning and nothing occured, no print at all. No reset consisting in unplugging while switched on, wainting few minutes then plugging in the socket, was effective, and the same thing kept happening.

Then, by changing the ink cartridges (freshly received with Instant ink) and performing a semi-full reset (3 times on the arrow, then select semi full reset), it managed to progress forward, to connect to wifi, but then my old friend the printer remembered that there was a false paper jam ! So it decided to yell at me every second that there was a paper jam. Being very resilient, I managed to navigate through options and to do what was explained here (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Paper-Jams-Feed-Issues/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-9015-printer-jam-messa...). It finally worked (scanner was OK, but not the printer), but then the ink cartridges were unknown (since they were new with Instant Ink fresh new delivery). So I decided to update the information with HP smart, action that caused the cartridges to be known but in the same time that brought back to life the false paper jam ... Thereafter, despite some open dialogue attempts between the printer and myself, repeating the procedure that just worked before, few socket resets, this ended with the cold reset suggested once again by HP doctor app like at the beginning of my problems (which brought to the same state of infinite alignment print as before, at least it is consistent...), it is now impossible to get a working printer, which can be painfully connected with semi-full reset to wifi and not even visible by HP smart and thus that can't print anything since cartridges are once again unknown, that can't update web services configuration, that can't get switched off properly, ...

I am begging you for a solution, which is not sending back the printer (since it is surprisingly just out of warranty) or buying a new one 🙂

Thanks a lot !!
