HP Deskjet 2710
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to enroll my new HP Deskjet 2710 printer for Instant Ink, My printer is enrolled for web-services , I can see an unique email address ending with hpeprint.com. Everytime, I try to connect my printer to Instant Ink, it prints a new page with a unique 16 character printer claim code . When I use the print claim code on my HP Smart App, it gives a message  saying "This print claim code can't be used for a HP + printer, please use smart app to enroll". And I can't proceed further.

I have tried removing web services and then enabling again, I still get the same message.

I even opened a service ticket with HP Instant Ink Customer service( [personal information removed]). This ticket was kept open for 2 days and then closed automatically without any resolution.

My printer ink is running very low and I need immediate help to enroll.

I don't think the answer has helped . I tried again with a new claim code and it is still not working. I don't think it is the issue on Instant Ink server down, as the message says that the new HP + printers are not supposed to be registered through claim code, it seems there is a different method altogether, which is not documented anywhere in HP site.

I am still unable to register.

Please note, I have contacted the local HP Instant Ink department twice in the past week. The first contact resulted in a call of 4 hours during which I had to restart the HP printer multiple times. The end of the call was the support executive creating a support ticket - 5065006598.

This case was left open for 2 days and finally closed without any resolution.

The next call resulted in the support person assuring me that I will receive a call back from HP, which didn't happen.

Can you please confirm one thing - Does HP Instant Ink offer really work as advertised in Ireland? Has any new customer been able to register their HP Deskjet printer to the Instant Ink server using the claim code?

@dmukherjee24

Yes, Instant ink service is available in Ireland and the offer also is valid if mentioned on the printer box. Let me escalate this issue to the concerned team.

Please look for a private message from me requesting additional information. Keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi did you manage to solve this as I'm having same problem  mine been escalated 4 times and still no call back from them.

HP Recommended

yes, I received a call from the local HP Support asking if I am still having problems. After that, I tried again to enroll in HP Instant Ink site and quite surprisingly, the registration and enrollment was successful, and my first batch of instant ink has been shipped now.

I would say, you again download an updated version of HP Smart App and then retry the whole Instant ink registration again after keeping the printer on.

This time, it should not ask for any Printer claim code.
