macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Had a new shippment of instantink ,installed then and lost all printing capability and got help from agent who went into my Mac  then was told my Mac in full of virus ,said he would refer me to a technition at the cost of 300 hundred , an I being scammed went to look for the number of tec and they say it is a scam,would HP do this???
