DJ 2600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We purchased a DJ 2600 today, March 9, 2018.  Following the instructions, we were able to access our 2.4 GH Wi-Fi in our computer room but somehow we lost it.  We had to accept USB connection to the PC.  This is OK for the PC closest to the printer but we have two other printers in the room.  Can we use Wi-Fi to connect these two PC's to the printer and leave the other one directly connected to it via USB?  If so, can you provide us with detailed instructions on how to do that.  The instructions that came with the printer are difficult for novices to follow.  TIA.

@JimmyJoeBob,

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! This is a great location to get resolutions and interact with experts from the community. I understand you are having issues with connecting your Printer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

Going through your reply, it seems that you have installed the printer using the USB cable and is able to print as well. Hence, I would suggest you convert the USB connected printer to wireless as suggested below:

Answering to your question, Yes, you can connect one computer as USB and then connect the others using Wireless.

1. Click on the start button (), select All programs.

2. Now, scroll down to HP folder and select and open HP Officejet J4680 folder.

3. Select "Device setup and software".

4. Give the permission and then choose "Convert USB connected printer to wireless". If the option is unavailable, select "Connect a new printer and then select "Convert.." option.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to convert the printer to wireless and to install it on your PC.

Well, thanks for the help on our printer.  However, we have decided to return it to Walmart for a refund.  It is supposed to print in color.  It does, black and red.  Somehow, that does not meet my expectations of a "Color Printer".  It was the cheapest HP printer Walmart had.  I believe we need to spend a little more money to get what we need.  Anyway, thanks for the assist on the Wi-Fi Setup.  Bye.

After installing DJ200 last night (and preferring to print via USB) I believe I installed with WF connectivity. MY WF went off later! do not know why?). I printed last night with USB connected, now cannot print anything from computer although printer is lit up with WF warning status with USB cable not connected. HAVE JUST SOLVED myself... wonders... turned the wirelss capability off - reconeccted USB cable and IT PRINTED... I am a dilly but am leaving this post on for others, just in case.
