Welcome to HP support community.

 

Did you try loading different set of papers?

Meanwhile:

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.

Update the printer firmware

Load paper error message when there is paper loaded

It still will not pick up the paper loaded in the tray.  I am using the same paper that has been working for two years.  It tries to pick it up, but fails, and gives me an error message.

No, not black or color copy, nor test page via the computer.

@Denhum03 I'm afraid that would mean that there's a hardware malfunction on the printer and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

 

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
